Why Magnite™

Why Magnite™

Magnite™ is a Metal Nano-Composite alloy, using ceramic nanoparticles combined with other rare earth elements to create a material that is stronger and more consistently manufactured than carbon while simultaneously being lighter than aluminum.

This new material gives us mechanical properties that are totally dissimilar from what you would see out of a traditional aluminum. That makes things lighter and stronger so you can make a better bow.

A new Material

One of the most important things about Magnite™ technology is we're not using commercial-grade alloys. Steel alloys are used everyday to make things in the archery industry, in the general weapons market. Magnite™ is built by taking proprietary alloys that use rare earth elements like gadolinium and yttrium, and we're combining them together to make a new material. A new material gives us mechanical properties that are totally dissimilar from what you'd see out of a traditional aluminum. That makes things lighter and stronger so you can make a better bow.

Nano-Forming

The reason that nano forming was developed is because most of our Magnite™ materials are cutting edge materials that have stronger mechanical properties than 41/40 steel that are lighter than aluminum, many of which we're using for Xpedition, can only be formed in very specific ways.

Through a very specific process, we can maximize the material for Xpedition bows.
